Dark Nightmare, the Epic Heavy Metallers from Grevena City, Greece, do not need any special introduction. For almost two and a half decades they have been generously offering high class steel through their various releases and their live shows.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is not the first time that we have worked with the band to represent their back catalogue: Back in 2021 we reissued their legendary demo recordings through the “The Dark Demo Years” compilation and now it is time to re-release their monumental “Beneath The Veils Of Winter” full length.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Originally released in 2012 on Iron on Iron Records, “Beneath Ohe Veils Of Winter” was the album that introduced a wider audience to the greatness of Dark Nightmare’s steel. It features some of the band’s all-time classics like “The Battlefield Calling My Name”, “Beneath The Veils Of Winter”, “Are We Free?” and “The Voyage”. The album highlights a remarkable evolution to the band’s overall songwriting featuring a wide usage of multiple guitar and keyboard melodies alongside the powerful riffing and larger than life vocal lines. This full-length is also the first one to feature Nikos Michalakakos (Spitfire, Ragenheart, Thelemite, Blind Justice) on bass, a musician who over the years, became a key member for the band.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Beneath The Veils Of Winter” quickly became the favorite Dark Nightmare release for the fans, it sold out very quickly, eventually becoming unavailable to those who did not manage to obtain a copy of the first Iron on Iron Records pressing. As you can imagine the demand for a reissue was very high. Well, the wait is over, 14 years after its original release, this Heavy Metal gem is available again.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Steel Gallery Records edition comes with five bonus tracks -two studio and three live recordings-, the original front cover designed by Kostas Theoharis (Blade of Spirit), plus upgraded booklet layout\/front cover by Kostas Athanasoglou.<\/strong><\/p>\n
