Jailcat is breaking the silence in Hard Rock music for almost a decade.
\nIn the early days, the band did a lot of gigs and shows. The most remarkable moments of that period were the shows with Faster Pussycat (US), Wig Wam (NOR) and Star Star (US\/GR), where the band established a high-level, raw and edgy performance profile.
\nWith people attendance growing more and more on their shows, Jailcat got into the studio to work on its own songs, which would constitute its debut, self-titled EP which has been self-released in June 2010. The first single “Here to stay” instantly grabbed the attention of many radios and press magazines internationally while the second single “The other me” was mostly loved by local clubs and bars. In support of the EP’s release, the band went on tour, playing many sold out venues in their hometown Thessaloniki, as well as many festivals all over the Greece. Highlights on the end of the tour were two invitations, for a show in Sofia (BG) and being the opening act for the concert of W.A.S.P. (US) in Thessaloniki.
\nNext goal for the band was the making of an album. Along with the composition of new songs, discussions between Jailcat and the Grammy-nominated producer Chris Tsangarides (Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Ozzy, Gary Moore etc) had already begun. The two sides came to an agreement and Jailcat flew to Kingsdown (Kent, England) for the production of the upcoming album.
\nEarly 2015 and the debut album is ready; 10 powerful tracks combining the band’s hard edged sound with modern rock as well as sentimental tunes. Mastered by John Scrip at MASSIVE Mastering (Chicago, IL), “Men or Mice” is definitely the best moment of the band so far and an album that can give the audience what they want and deserve.<\/p>\n
